 DENGUE  DOS  AND  DON'TS

If mosquito repellents fail to protect , here's your fail  -  safe.

DO 

  • Monitor fever every hour . Try to keep body temperature below 39 degree C / 102 degree F.
  • Watch out for complications. These usually appear between the third and fifth day of the illness.
  • See a doctor if you notice red spots on skin , black stool , frequent vomiting or blood in vomit, bleeding nose or gums , dry mouth , difficulty breathing , abdominal pain.
  • Increase fluid intake.Have water , soup , milk or juice.
  • Rest and Recover.

DON'TS 

  • Self - medicate with anti - biotics  or steroids.
  • Take medicines like aspirin, brufen or ibuprofen that can increase the risk of internal bleeding.
  • Have more than four tablets of paracetamol in 24 hours.
